Pediatric Health Information

Our pediatric providers recommend these resources to help you navigate and better understand your child's healthcare needs.

These resources are great for answering your general questions. If you have a concern about your child's health or your child is sick or injured, contact his or her pediatric healthcare provider immediately.

Well-Child Checkups

We follow the general guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatrics for well-child checkups. Plan your visits based on these guidelines:

  • Your child's first visit with a pediatrician should happen when he or she is 3 to 5 days old.
  • He or she should see a pediatric provider at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 months old.
  • Your child should continue to see a pediatric provider yearly starting at 2 years old.
